Girls, Gays, Theys, & Allies,
Yoyoyo! It’s your trans friend, KB Brookins. I’m back again with some good trans news. Let’s get into it!
Trans News That Doesn’t Suck: The Videos
At a time when queer history is under attack, Invisible Histories is creating a permanent LGBTQ+ archive in Charlotte, NC. Yay!
This new archive, opening in 2026, will not only house materials honoring Southern LGBTQ history but also serve as a research center and educational hub for the community. The group is also expanding its reach into other Southern states— ensuring that LGBTQ+ histories are documented, preserved, and made accessible for years to come. 🏳️⚧️📚

Two states just passed big wins for trans + abortion rights. Colorado codified gender-affirming care, strengthened protections in education, AND enshrined abortion rights into its constitution. A publication in Washington released a guide to protections for trans/GNC people— and minors in the state seeking gender-affirming care are now shielded from interference by estranged parents.
We love to see it. If you’re not in CO or WA, contact your state representatives to get them on board. Use these states as an example!
Now, onto a list of good trans news.
